My name is Fraser Orr, I’m a 22 year old film student from Western Sydney and am hoping to go into a career in film criticism.

This blog contains news, reviews and opinions on Australian film and other media. My major interest is finding out why everybody seems to have an aversion to Australian films at the moment, and have done for as long as I can remember.

Who’s to blame? The Government, for not giving enough support to the arts? The media, for giving more attention to Hollywood film than local fare? The filmmakers, for not making films worth watching? Or the public, for not giving Australian films a chance? My aim is to find where the faults are, and hopefully learn what can be done to set things right.
